two..

that number refers to the amount of cakes i made last night.
i know nothing major to some, but if you are a baker making fifty a day then i appreciate that and yes agree with you saying its nothing to make only two, btttttt if ur someone who nvr bakes and thinks two cakes, with measuring, mixing, getting to perfect, lining tins, cooking, cooling, measuring icing, mixing different flvours, waiting mre time for the damn things to cool, then icing them, and finding tins to put them in before plkacing them in the fridge with notes for the family to find them*hhhhh breathe*,if you are one of thos epeople then a-a dnt even go there its hard man!!enjoyable though eh!!
it was 1am the house was quite apart from the snoring from the paretn bedroom of course, and i was loney and so i decide i know cakes, makes bakes, meeee. and so i did.we happen to hae lots of ingredients this times,bt since i wanted to get back to homely old style baking and doing anything mre spectacular(nt that thse arent)would take mre planning and possibly too much noise so i stuck to the good old sponge and buttercream icing kinda thang. i think they will always be my favourites to make anyway, the way the ingredietn comes together to make the perfect sweetest wonders i lovely, its doesnt try to be big or clevr(excpet when its trying to rise for me in the oven)bt the wonders of such a cake nevr seem to amaze peoples taste buds and the remarks you get when made to perfection are awesome.
nw i alsl took me forever to decide what to bake, and which flavour, firstly i had to cross fair cakes off my list, then deducted was jst a plain victoia sponge i wanted to go one step from that, and then i though i know i'll make the good choc one that i always do,it takes a bit mre time coz it has a few mre steps to add some other ingredients (nothing to take it away from the down to earth style, jst put togeht in a different way)bt i had to think of my good mother, the lovely lady of the house is currently on lent and is nt able to eat chocolate until easter, she often sruggle with this and i wonder whether the easter eggs that are lying in plane sight(shes crap at hiding stuff or jst getting too bored and knws we're grown up enough to know it nt the easter bunny anymore so jst plonks them anywhere)are really for us or for her to devour on easter lol!! so then do i go for a coffee cake, yes why nt, bt alas my little baking fingers really wanted to make a chocolate one,bt my mum hw could i refuse her cake. so bingo light switch moment came wheni thoght i have enough ingredietns for once, lets make both, i decided for the sake of my ears being shouted at for making them worry bout there waisltines when i made them two full sized cake i would make the coffee one smaller and say it was especially for mum and the other two piggies were to keep off.and the choc i did it a slightly smaller verson too, i did the flat tin type ones this times for something different.
and off i went in my little world of mixing and putting things in here and there to get the right consistency then using my super hightened sense of smell to see if it was right, and to putting it all in the tin and watching them bake bake bake like little angels.

disaster almost struck when i took the chocolate one out and realized it wasnt cooked in the middle and was to under the point where this bit would still go hard as it cooled so i had to put it back in for a bit and yes it got a lump in the muddle where i had opened it up and the un-cooked middle blew up when it cooked, bt who care for a slight boob in the middle nt me and once iced nt them.
and since i nw prepare before hand my icing was ready...of course one choc and one camp fvlour, and on it went all the wayu round(is there any other family tht have issues with keep a slice of cake to the slice of icing sitting on it and nt knocing it from the rest of the cake, mine do so i make loads so the knocking doesnt mean the nxt person get noone on there piece or prevents people coming to the end of the cake wehre it is completly nakes!!i say!!
and then to the tins, one for each, and then to fridge because iwas jst a litte impatient and yes they were a bit warm and the icing was melting a tiny bit and i was a bit fustrated bt nt too much to chuck them away this times!!
and then at 6am i was finished and could go to bed if i pleased knowing they would wake up walking to the shower with the waft of baked goodies coming up to greet them.

so if this sotrm comes which all the weahter people are warning us bout, which i think it could do because why else would the weather her(which is nt usually anyhting bt grey on mst days) be sunny and warm, and nt jst a nice day bt the sun is making a line through the gap in my curtian!!i will no my family will be safe coz they have cake.actually no no no take it back silly girl do i realllllllly think it will lst that lng,mm na!!
