its mothers day this weekend, and we have spent much time getting out of mum what her favourite meal is, this i thought would be easy, i cook for her sometimes daily i buy who her stuff so surely i should no what her fsvourite meal is..bt know my daughter duty fails me there.
i know she loves certian things, like mars bars, marzipan, liquaice, those cnadies with the fondant passing through the middle, cashew nuts, shortbread, vienesse whirls, and n could go on with so many mre foods she jst loves, but if i had to pick a favourite i think i would be quite off as she likes her food as do all my family, not in a bad way i mean they jst appreciate lovely food, so she always gives rave reviews when i cook something new or old, so this subject stunned me into a oh shite i want to do her meal on sunday and hw do i come out and ask her without her knowing. i did it though and got to a lamb roast and lemon mirangue pie, good choice mum and something i love to make. as it tunrs out why i dint jst say to her mum im cooking you a nice mal on sunday what do you want i dont know, because umm how did i expect her nt to see a roast cooking in the oven especially the way i cook with ingredients and stickiness stwen everwehre lol. ehehehe dnt start i clear up jst in my own time thankyou!!
bt it makes it mre special to keep it a kind of secret....
nw onto the nitty gritty im so angry at you people and your dam supermkarkets yet dnt hold me to that comment because i honestly dnt no what i would do without you rant!!
for yrs we have made our lemon pies from the green packets, what dnt you give me the eyes computer you should step out your box and try it it is the pie of pies when done with homemade pastry and mirangue. o.k i have never attemtped to make my own filling bt judging to the recent 'food blog DARING BAKERS chalenge'where others dint have much success i am nt yet willing to go there anyway, bt this one is excellent to us and it is a relied upon sourse of lemon pie and one we will stick to,haha or will we.......it was late at night and mum said 'off t the gym back later' ooooooh i thought lovel timeing to slip out with dad to the shops, the local shops dnt sell the packet(IM SURE ONE OF THEM USED TO BY THE WAY)bt they could be lsightly forgiven since they're only local shops and these things usually come at the big supermakets, bt anyway off we drove to the supermarket, and then it came WAM BAM CAZZAM. they have the greens custard mix, the starberry quick jel(my gosh fantastic stuff too will make a stawrberry flan soon me thinks!!)bt no lemon mirangue pie mix, OH -A -MY-A -GOSH, and by this time dad had gotten to his level of being a man like him and saying i need to go i cnt shop nomore, and even he seached the aisle, bt no no mix,so we went home emplty handed, which would have been mre accpetable to him apart from before getting to the baking ingredient aisle we had shopped and brought loads of other money spending stuff with no reward of the lemon mix. so nw im upset and worried. i ave since looked online and they seel it at the big tesco a few miles away bt that mean getting there befroe sunday jst for this mix, which yes we dshould do she's my mum bt its getting my dads ass into come on off the chair we mst once again step into a food shop no matter hw much you hate it faze!!oh this will be fun!!
